The UK Prime Minister has announced that conferences and similar events will be permitted in England from October, saying “we intend to … allow conferences and other business events to recommence …. in a Covid Secure way.” It has been confirmed, however, that this is dependent on the current infection rates not rising, and on measures to reduce transmission being in place at any event.

The Researcher to Reader Conference is nonetheless making ambitious plans for the October launch of a high-quality hybrid event for February 2021, so that participants can defer until next year any decisions whether to attend physically or online.

The Call for Papers for R2R 2021 has been announced, and will close at the end of August.
