We are very pleased to announce that Stephanie Paalvast has joined the Advisory Board for the 2022 Researcher to Reader Conference.

As Head of Open Research at Brill, Stephanie is responsible for the development of models and services to support Open Access and Open Science in HSS. After entering the publishing industry as a project manager, she quickly grew passionate about Open Access and helped shape Brill’s nascent Open Access program 7 years ago. She also gained experience with institutional OA publishing at Utrecht University’s publishing program Uopen Journals. Back at Brill since 2018, she combines her experience with both commercial as well as not-for-profit publishing to move towards Open Access models suited to the unique and diverse HSS research landscape. Since 2014, Brill has published more than 500 Open Access books, 30 Open Access journals, hundreds of chapters and articles; and is proud to have 4 transformative agreements with library consortia.

We welcome Stephanie to the R2R 2022 Board, where her knowledge, expertise and engagement with Open Access will be a significant asset to the Conference.
