Anthony Watkinson joins R2R Advisory Board

anthony-watkinsonWe are delighted to announce that Anthony Watkinson, Principal Consultant at CIBER Research, is joining the Researcher to Reader Conference Advisory Board for 2017 and 2018.

Anthony Watkinson has spent most of his career in scholarly publishing, including being Editorial Director at Academic Press London and Head of Journals at Oxford University Press.  He is now a self-employed consultant with a portfolio of projects and on-going positions. He is currently principal consultant to CIBER Research which he co-founded at City University in 2002. Anthony was for six years a visiting professor in the department of information science at City University London, he has been a part-time senior lecturer in the Department of information studies, and is now an honorary lecturer at University College London. He has also been director of information and training for the International Association of STM Publishers, where he ran intensive journals courses in Europe and Asia. He has also been a consultant to the Publishers Association. Anthony is a director and plenary chair of the Charleston Conference and co-organiser of the annual Fiesole Retreats.
